Know what actually catches fish.
There is no signal on the water, and memory is a terrible logbook. Tacklog records every trip, every catch, every lure and depth — then ranks what really produced fish for a species in those conditions, from your own history.
What works for perch
A full fishing record, not a notes app
Trips, catches, spots, tackle, stats and reminders — all computed on your phone, all working with the phone in aeroplane mode.
Trip log
Date, spot, hours fished, weather, wind, water temperature, clarity and a tide or moon note — the context that makes a catch repeatable.
Catch records
Species, length, weight, lure, depth, technique, time and kept-or-released. Personal bests update themselves.
Spot register
Name your waters with access notes and local knowledge. Spots are kept in an encrypted box — and no GPS permission is ever requested.
Tackle box
Lures, baits, rods, reels and line with colour and size — then see which ones actually earn their place.
Insights & charts
7, 30 and 90-day catch trends, species mix, top lures, catch-per-hour by trip and a full per-spot breakdown.
Pattern finder
Pick a species and Tacklog ranks the lures, depths, times of day, techniques and conditions that produced it.
Streaks, goals & badges
Weekly fishing streaks, monthly trip and fish targets, and eight badges that unlock as the logbook fills.
Search, tags & filters
Full-text search across spots, species, lures and notes, plus tags, favourites, sorting and an archive with undo.
Personal best board
Your biggest fish of every species, with the lure, the spot and the day it came from.
Today & upcoming
Licence expiry, planned sessions and gear service due by trips — an in-app agenda, never a push notification.
Export & backup
JSON backup and a catch-level CSV that opens in any spreadsheet, restored from the same screen. Your log is yours.
Make it yours
Light or dark theme, five accent colours, compact or comfortable density, and metric or imperial units.
Your own history, turned into a plan
Every catch you log carries a lure, a depth, a time and the conditions of the day. Tacklog cross-references them, so before the next session you already know what to tie on.
- Ranked lures by share of the fish they actually produced.
- Depth bands and time of day so you fish the right water at the right hour.
- Filter by spot — what works on the reservoir is not what works on the river.
- Catch per hour makes a short evening session comparable to a full day.
- Blanks count too — logging a fishless day teaches the pattern what to avoid.

Your fishing spots are nobody else’s business
Tacklog has no servers, no analytics and no accounts. Nothing you log is uploaded, because there is nowhere for it to go. Spots are stored in an encrypted box on the device, and settings live in the platform’s secure storage.
- No data collected — that is the whole Data Safety declaration.
- One permission: internet, used only to open this privacy policy in the app.
- No GPS — spots are named by you, never located by the phone.
- Clear everything from Settings at any time, or just uninstall.
